Cracking unknown password of rar and zip files.

There are plenty of programs around for cracking the passwords on .rar files.
Just find a warez copy of the one that the government uses:  AccessData.

They make forensic analysis and password cracker programs, that are sold to
the government at $1000+ a pop.   You can find copies of their programs on
emule or torrents.  I use a copy of their forensic software to analyze my hard
drive for any files left behind, after performing drive cleaning operations on
it.   I keep all the CP stuff in an encrypted partition, and perform forensic
analysis on the rest of the drive to verify it's safe.  I even downloaded
a .pdf file that trains you to government certification for forensic analysis.
Another good company is Encase, they also make forensic analysis, but not
password crackers.

Anyways, the password cracker that AccessData makes can crack .zip and .rar
files.  That will solve the problem of what the password is on that pic1.rar
file.  A lot of people are under the mistaken assumption that if they use the
encryption in a simple file compression utility like Winzip, Winrar, Unrar, or
any of the others, that it is "safe".   But thats far from true.  The
passwords in those files can usually be cracked with the right software, and
pretty quickly.
