TrueCrypt

This is a block level encryption technique.

No signature to detect if the disk is random (secure wiped) or encrypted.  It
can actually be used to do security wiping of a partition.

Works by double encrypting to prevent recongition that it is an encrypted
partition????  (as if double encrypting is truely worht it).

It was originally written for Windows 2000/XP/2003, but is available in linux.

Install
  download excutable archive package
    http://www.truecrypt.org/downloads
  Run it as root to run wizard

There is a 'mounting error' (actually sudo config file error).
Basically you must disable "Defaults requiretty", but I do this
normally anyway.
